Picked this up for my grandson who’s turning 8 next week. Packaging was nice, and the detector looks cool with the bright orange color. The stem extends easily, and the grip is comfortable for small hands. He figured out how to switch modes in minutes. We tested it in the backyard and found a lost screwdriver tip—he was thrilled. Good value for the money. Just note the LCD scratches easily, so maybe get a screen protector.

Got this as a gift for my niece's birthday. She picked it up and started using it right away—no complicated setup. The All Metal Mode is good for beginners, and she loved digging up random nails and coins in the garden. Build quality feels decent for the price. The coil size is small, so it’s not for deep targets, but perfect for kids exploring the yard. Happy with the purchase.

Bought this for my 8-year-old son who's super into treasure hunting. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, even in sunlight. We set it to Disc Mode to avoid picking up bottle caps, and it worked great. The adjustable stem is perfect—he can use it as he grows. Light enough for him to carry around the backyard all afternoon. Only wish the battery life was a bit longer, but overall a solid starter detector.

We got this for family camping trips. The kids love it—especially the beeping sound when they find something. The 6-inch coil is good for shallow digs, and the adjustable height means both my 7-year-old and 9-year-old can take turns without fighting over fit. The battery compartment is easy to open, but I wish it came with a carrying case. Still, for the price, it's a fun toy that actually works.

My 10-year-old daughter has been begging for a metal detector, and this one checks all the boxes. The LCD shows target depth and type, which helps her decide what to dig. It's really lightweight—she can swing it for hours. We used Disc Mode to filter out junk, and she found an old quarter on her first try! The only minor issue is the volume is a bit low, but not a deal breaker.
